Petrified Forest on a Rainy Day

As I took the few first pictures of the Petrified Forest, it began to rain. The rain didn't last very long, though, and it ended up being very enjoyable with not a lot of people! I did take the trail into the Painted Desert, completely unprepared, but it was fun.

I loved taking these photos, but I didn't love going through them all to figure out which ones to edit. For this part of my road trip, I was alone. This meant I could enjoy each place for however long I wished, which was nice. Though it's always fun to have other people. I'm just glad it wasn't packed when I went.

It was about this time, I stopped and a man stopped. We turned to each other and he made the comment that we seemed to be doing the same thing, hitting the same places for the same amount of time! It was funny. Sure, most of it was a trail, but not everybody was stopping at the places we stopped at.
